Woche 37 - Weekly Challenges

    1. Thank you! You see, I like color! Maybe my black and white drawings are sometimes a little reserved.

    1. Thank you! Sometimes my colors nearly jump out of the pictures. Maybe that's because I'm actually a painter.

    1. Thank you very much! I don’t know if the empty space in the middle of the mosaic will look so good, but I just try it.

  7. Very nice compositon with the black/white, the colours and the open spaces. This tile is the most difficult of the whole ensemble and your Muscari looks great.
Nice work with beautiful drawn tangles for the Diva too!

For me, the middle of the mosaic in the colored version really was the most difficult part, because I have left it relatively free. Standing alone I don't like it very much. It looks like cut in the middle of the patterns.
And the black and white tile is a little bit overloaded, but I like it more.
How the whole picture will develop I can not yet imagine exactly. It is very interesting for all of us, how the mosaic goes on.

  9. I only do the Diva challenge which you have done very nicely here, but I also really like your colored tiles. They have so much going on (in a good way), that they demand attention!

    1. I don't know, if I like more drawing black and white or colored tiles. But as a watercolor painter color inspires me to play with new patterns.

  10. The day will come when I have to ask you to be my ghost tangler. So many tangles in your head.... it must be very crowded, but you seem to joggle them easily and put them just where you want them. I love the progress for the mosaic. Color and black and white perfectly mixed.

    1. Luckily, I have only Tangle patterns in my head. Better than other useless stuff. And that I find a little space for other things too, I leave the patterns out very quickly and draw them, so I can't quite forget them.
I love the mosaic too. It is interesting where it develops to.
I am looking forward your Danube mosaic. I think the biker took a rest, maybe, because it rained. But I hope the weather will be fine again and your mosaic goes on.

It is fascinating how different your subject is handled by different participants. Everyone has an own style. And it is a joy to see the mosaics grow. I am already very excited about the end results of the individual participants.

  12. Wow! but I love the Joey challenges, especially that color effect. It does look like a little shady place, like the corner of a garden. Love your coloring technique, and the way you've incorporated the colors into the works. Lovely!

Since I am actually a painter, I am fascinated by color. That's why I like to combine watercolors with tangles. I think I like the colored mosaic a little better than the other in black and white.
