Schon ist die erste Woche des neuen Jahres vorbei. Während der Feiertage habe ich wieder auf dunklem Grund mit neuen Aquarellfarben mit Spezialeffekten experimentiert und meine "schwarze Serie" von nächtlichen oder auf schwarzem Grund gemalten Franken-Bildern ergänzt. In meinem Bild der Woche vom Würzburger Grafeneckart mit Domstraße und Dom habe ich versucht, eine mystische nächtliche Stimmung zu schaffen. Ich finde es interessant, den dunklen Grund zum Strahlen zu bringen, auch wenn das auf dem Scan nicht so gut sichtbar ist, wie im Original.
Suzanne Flurs Thema der Woche ist Quilting, eine Patch-Work-Technik. Sie soll mit Tangles nachvollzogen werden. Allerdings soll nicht die klassische Technik aus geometrischen Teilen sondern eine wilde Aufteilung gewählt werden. Ich habe mich bei meiner Version am abstrakten Hintergrund orientiert.
Tanglemuster bei 7F5R waren Printemps und aktuell Auraknot. Ich habe sie in einer Zeichnung kombiniert.
Bei Elas Challenges sollte am Montag Ria Matheussens schönes Muster Mollu mit Jaybarz und Krasch kombiniert werden.
Am Dienstag gab es Munchin, Dreppal und Envy.
Mittwochsmuster waren Heartfull, Crossver und Intwine.
Am Donnerstag waren Parpearl, Fairy Wings und Triomino zu zeichnen.
Freitagsmuster waren Arckles, Travertine und Leaf pop on a line.
Am Samstag gab es Double Florz, That's torn it V1 und Corn rows.
Sonntagsthema war die Kombination von Gayte, Uncorked und Spinner.
Bei Elas Challenges sollte am Montag Ria Matheussens schönes Muster Mollu mit Jaybarz und Krasch kombiniert werden.
The watercolor painting with whom you open your blogpost is stunning.I like these dark colours you also used on some other tiles. Another fave is the last zendala and of course the one you made for Ela, including my pattern Mollu. The patchwork was a pleasant and nice challenge and you know already I like your contribution. On Saturday you didn't use dark colours but I'm fond of that result too, The tints on Florz look great. Again another week full of wonderful work!
AntwortenLöschenIt is very interesting to play with dark backgrounds. Dark paper for watercolors is very unusual but I like to try different solutions to let the immage shine. I bought a set of watercolors with effect, but they are very intrusive, if they are used allone. Better is, to mix them with the normal watercolors. It is important to use bright shiny colors for the lights and windows in the dark night. It is a very new experience for me, but sometimes I like to try new media.
LöschenYou know tangling on dark also is not so easy and sometimes the results are too dark, nearly sinister. But it is interesting, to step out of usual techniques.
